Ahhh, the joys of dental work. It wasn't too long ago that I spent a small fortune on my back molar. Today was the tooth next to it. Actually, I didn't have to spend that much, only $75 (ha!) The filling that was there has been loose for a few weeks. I promised myself that the tax return money that I get is going toward the Chick's teeth. I am a bad mom. She hasn't been to the dentist in 3 years. She was seeing a pediatric dentist for all her problems early on, but it was costing a fortune, much more than my teeth. Last year's tax return was earmarked for her too. Unfortunately, my bad teeth came up again and I had to spend large amounts of money for them to fix something that should have been fixed years ago.

Anyway, since this visit only cost me $75, I made an appointment for her. Hopefully my tax money will be back by then, because I can just imagine what it is going to cost me. Her teeth are fairly straight now, but a her bottom jaw is crowded and starting to move teeth into interesting angles. Thankfully, she has had no problems in the last couple of years so maybe we will just get by with a good cleaning... okay, I doubt that. I just want her to have a pretty smile and hopefully bad teeth skip a generation or two.

Meanwhile, I am sitting here with a totally numb mouth and my cheek itches, but I don't want to scratch because it is numb and who knows what kind of look I will be going for tomorrow if I scratch too hard.

Thankfully, Dr. T is a good dentist and he made it very painless. :-D
