I have been pretty quiet these past few weeks, not that there isn't anything going on, there is always something happening around here. There have been a few health issues going on that have had me thinking and spend time with family and respecting their feelings on information getting out. Now that the key people have been notified, I just want everyone to say a prayer for my cousin who has lymphoma. He is going for a scan on Tuesday next week (it was supposed to be yesterday, but got canceled). From what I understand, the doctors got the lesion, but they want to make sure they got everything. I am not going to say anymore because I don't want it to be a huge deal, just a quick prayer on Tuesday morning for good results.

Chick is busier and busier as the school year is coming to a close in a couple of months. I had to go to a parent meeting to discuss the transfer to High School next year. Interestingly only about 40 people showed up so it was short and sweet. It was basically to discuss the math and science curriculum as well as this year's promotion ceremony and important dates. She will receive the information to sign up for classes in March and we will get down to business. Thankfully, parents need to sign their registration forms so they don't sign up for all fun classes.

She is in the middle of practice for their school musical and has late days a couple of times a week. She is having a blast with that and I can't wait to see her in the play. She is also interested in joining the color guard at the high school next year, so next week she has two afternoons that she has to go over to the high school for a practice and try-out. Surprisingly her friend, D, who is a sax player, wants to try out for the color guard too. Chick is thrilled. She said the high school kids told them that they will be going to Hawaii and the Macy's parade next year.

I have also been really busy with my grant. It is so stressful this time of year. I am hoping that next week things quiet down a bit so I can get some other stuff off my desk that has been piling up the past month and half.

I will really try to be better about posting more, just be patient...

I have such great memories of my kids doing plays and band and stuff. So much fun to watch our little birdies try out their wings. GO CHICK!
